Fiverr provides a platform for the freelancers to offer service worldwide and it is getting popular everyday, but how to become a seller and make money on Fiverr. Fiverr is a place where anyone can list their skills to get hired by anyone around the world. Service you offer and price for your service is completely dependent on you. Fiverr takes its cut from the price you set. Fiverr is the perfect place for freelancers as the amount of work you accept is also dependent on you; you also have the right to reject any work or increase the amount of time if required.

How to become a Seller.
You will need an email ID to Join Fiverr. You can use your Facebook, Google (Gmail) or Apple account to get started on Fiverr. This account can also be used to interact with other gigs and to create a gig to get hired by others.
Once you create your account, you will be greeted with the page where you can interact with other gigs to hire an individual for your work. But to sell your skill and work as freelancers, you will need to Become a Seller.
To Become a Seller, you will need to click on the profile logo and find a Become a Seller option. You will have to click on the Become a Seller again. Fiverr will walk you through some important steps needed to be successful on Fiverr. Adding profile picture, description and professional information is highly recommended to be successful on Fiverr.
As you add your personal and professional detail, Fiverr will also show you completion rate at the top. To be able to Create your first Gig, you will need to at least complete 65% of the profile.
Once you click through all the steps, Fiverr will ask you to complete your selling profile by providing some personal info such as first and last name. Add your profile picture, it is highly recommended to add your well lit professional photo of yours; clients are more likely to reach out for your gig if you upload a professional photo of yours. To complete your profile, you will have to provide your work experience, interesting projects you have worked in the past.
Step 1: Name, Profile Picture and Description
Information you provide in your profile helps you become successful at Fiverr. Information needs to be accurate to win the trust of the potential customer. Provide your first and last name, and profile picture. Profile picture needs to be well lit and need to look professional.
In the description section, you will need to provide your relevant work experience, interesting projects you have worked on, your skills and your area of expertise. It increases your chances of getting hired by potential customers when they see your work experience, skills and your projects. At the end select your relevant language.
Step 2: Occupation, Skills and Education
In Step 2, you will need to select your occupation. Occupation could be the relevant industry experience you have. Once you select your occupation from the available option. You will need to select two to five of your best skills relevant to your occupation. Every occupation that is selected has different skills available to select. You can also add additional occupation as necessary
Once you’ve entered all your occupation, the next thing you will need to do is add experience level for all of your skills. Add your strong skills first, followed by beginner skills. As you enter your skills, Fiverr will suggest any additional skills that can help you succeed.
Step 3: Linked Accounts
Linking your social and professional presence is an optional, but linking profile now helps you save the time of linking later, linking profile now also makes it easier to share your gig with your social friends.
For social presence, you have the option to link Google, Facebook and Twitter account. Option for Social Presence stays the same, but option for professional presence changes based on occupation.
Step 4: Account Security
Just like every other famous website, you have an option to add your phone number for account security.
This may be the last step in the process, but you’re not done yet. To be able to create your first gig, you will need to at least complete 65% of your profile. If your profile is not 65% complete, then Fiverr will show you what more you can add to have your profile 65% completed. You will have to go back and edit necessary steps. Below is the snapshot of potentially missing items. Once the profile is complete, you can always return back to the profile to edit it.
Create a Gig and make money
Step 1: Overview
Once you finish with the profile, Fiverr will automatically take you to create your first Gig. Gig title needs to be at least 15 character long and less than 80 character. After that you will need to select the appropriate category, based on the the category, there is a metadata that you will need to select. Metadata is the data about the data; in another word, metadata helps customer find your gig. In Search tag, add relevant search tags.
Step 2: Pricing
In Step 2, you can set your price for the gig. You have 3 package; basic, standard and premium. Before you set the price, we suggest to do the research on similar gig being offered by someone else. For the starter with no experience, we suggest to take it slow on setting the price for the gig. Once there is a enough review and your work is being appreciated then you can decide on to increase the price of the gig.
However you can set different price for all 3 packages. Name all 3 packages differently with different descriptions. When you’re done setting the price; you can add additional optional extra services such as fast delivery or additional revision. You can also create your own gig for the extra services.
Step 3: Description & FAQ
In Step 3, take your time to describe your gig. You can start the description on similar projects you have worked on and how your gig can add value to the service that customer is looking for. You can also talk about your personal life. Although, there is a 1500 word limits, but it is good idea to keep the description 500 words to capture your viewers interests.
Step 4: Requirements
Different gigs have different requirements. For example, if you have to access the customer account, so you can complete the gig. Setting out the requirements helps your customer to know what they need before they purchase the gig, and it also saves the much needed time and hassle.
Step 5 : Gallery
Uploading the photo to your gig is must. Interested client would definitely want to see your work. You can upload as many as 3 photos of your work. Additionally, you can also add video to your gig. Video has to be less than 75 seconds.
Step 6: Publish
Before you can actually publish the Gig, you would have to fill out the W9 form used in the US For tax purposes. If you’re outside, simply click no and you won’t have to worry about anything. If you’re a US person, then you have to click yes and fill out W9. After that you will be able to publish your first gig.
